What is an Element Used For?

An element is fitted to a heated towel rail enabling it to be used with an electric supply being fed directly to it.
This means you don't need to turn the central heating system to use the rail.
It is important to note that a towel rail has to be prepared to be used as electric, by filling it with the appropriate solutions, sealing it and fitting the element in place.

About This Thermostatic Element

This 1000watt element is suitable for use with heated towel rails more than 1500mm high.
Matt finish suitable for stainless steel contemporary rails.
Simply screws into one of the threads at the bottom of the towel rail. Left or right.
Standard fitting, suitable for all UK specification towel rails with a 15mm thread (1/2)" British Standard Pipework).
This element can also be used in conjuction with a timer! A timer can be sourced from your qualifed electrician.
Note: If you are intending to use this element on a Dual Fuel Towel Rail, you must also buy a Chrome T-Piece (click to view).
